Hey there,
March is Women’s History Month—a time to honor the resilience, innovation, and impact of women who have shaped our technologies, our workplace, and beyond. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, it’s the perfect time to recognize and amplify the incredible contributions of women in tech and DevOps.
Women Who Paved the Way
Let’s take a moment to recognize some of the trailblazers who laid the foundation for modern computing:
Ada Lovelace – The world’s first programmer, who envisioned the potential of computers long before they became a reality.
Grace Hopper – A pioneer in programming languages, she developed the first compiler and coined the term “bug.”
Radia Perlman – Known as the “Mother of the Internet,” she invented the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), a crucial part of network efficiency.
Katherine Johnson – A mathematician at NASA whose calculations helped astronauts reach space and return safely.
The role of women in DevOps and cloud computing is growing, with many leading critical innovations. Let’s continue to break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and support women every day.
